Brendan Cloney

Brendan Cloney is a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and a foundational member of Silverback Jiu Jitsu Wexford. As the head of the kids program, Brendan has played a major role in shaping the culture of the gym—one built on respect, support, and personal growth.

With years of experience on the mats, Brendan understands that Jiu Jitsu is about much more than techniques or belts. His focus is on helping children become confident, respectful, and kind individuals—using the lessons learned through martial arts to build good habits, strong character, and a sense of responsibility to one another.

In his classes, Brendan encourages teamwork, discipline, and encouragement among students. Every session is designed to be positive, structured, and inclusive—where kids help each other grow, learn to overcome challenges, and take pride in their progress both on and off the mats.

Brendan’s steady guidance and genuine care for his students have made him an important part of the Silverback community, and a trusted role model for the next generation coming up through the gym.
